10月11日・12日、岸和田市山手地区にて「岸和田十月祭礼」が行われました。

今年も約50台のだんじりが勇壮に曳行され、多少のアクシデントはあったものの、大きな事故もなく無事に祭礼を終えることができました。

祭りの終了後、今月は欠損した彫刻の修理・補修に加え、汚れの除去と仕上げのメンテナンスを実施しました。

特に今回は、木部のコーティングとして米ぬか仕上げを採用。米ぬかに含まれる自然由来の油分が、落ち着いた光沢を与えるだけでなく、雨によるシミや汚れの付着を抑える効果があります。

源右衛門は、だんじりという地域の誇りと絆を象徴する文化財を守り、未来へ繋ぐことを大切にしています。

修理・保存・メンテナンスを通じ、これからも地域にとって頼れる存在であり続けたいと考えています。

On October 11th and 12th, the “Kishiwada October Festival” was held in the Yamate district of Kishiwada.

Nearly 50 danjiri floats were pulled through the streets with power and pride. Although there were a few minor incidents, the festival concluded safely without any major accidents.

Following the event, this month we carried out restoration work on damaged carvings, along with cleaning and final surface maintenance.

In particular, we applied a rice bran finish to the wooden surfaces. The natural oils contained in rice bran provide a soft, subdued sheen while helping prevent stains and water marks caused by rain exposure.
