映画『バッコン』の題字を手がけた書家・山名正志氏による力強い書を、
源右衛門が「かまぼこ彫り」の技法で一刀一刀刻み込みました。
仕上げには水性黒漆を三度塗り重ね、
光の角度によって表情を変える深みのある艶を実現しています。

素材には高い強度を誇るカナディアンメイプルを使用。
滑走用としての機能性を保ちながら、壁面を彩るアートピースとしても存在感を放ちます。
木と書が呼吸を合わせるような彫りのリズムは、
手仕事ならではの生命感を宿し、ひとつとして同じものはありません。

“KASSOH-BAN SAMURAI” is a one-of-a-kind art skateboard that fuses Japan’s time-honored woodcarving techniques with contemporary skate culture.

The bold calligraphy, created by Masashi Yamana, the artist behind the movie “Bakkon” title logo, has been intricately carved by Genuemon using the kamaboko-bori (semi-rounded relief carving) technique. The surface is finished with three layers of water-based black urushi lacquer, achieving a deep luster that changes with the light.

Crafted from Canadian maple, known for its durability, this board is fully functional for skating yet equally striking as a wall-mounted art piece. Each carving follows the natural rhythm of the wood, as if synchronizing the breath of calligraphy and timber—imbuing the piece with a living, soulful presence. When held, the warmth and weight of the wood whisper the silent story of its creation.
